Craft Beers & Ciders

Our traditional Somerset ciders.

Cider’s become a bit of global phenomenon over the last few years, but its roots in the Westcountry run much deeper! The cider we drink in these parts is made from a much higher percentage of real cider apples than other UK ciders; this gives much more tannins and a sharper flavour. We only sell cider from small, craft producers.

Scrumpy, like the cider made by Ben Crossman in Hewish, is flat, cloudy and unfiltered.

Small scale producers like Ganley and Naish have mixed ancient craft and modern ideas to create exciting tasting ciders with a bit of fizz. Instead of mixing varieties, they’ve created a single varietal cider from the Dabinett apple. This means you can really taste the apple in it!

Our delicious local beers.

Beer might be one of the world’s oldest drinks, but modern times have seen real beer go from strength to strength! The craft beer trend has been kind to us in the Westcountry, with Bristol and surrounding areas seeing some awesome beers added to our menu!  Wiper and True have channeled their passion into developing some amazing beers.

Their Kaleidoscope has a cult following combining three different hops to create a seasonally evolving flavour profile. Whilst the hops change, the beer is always harmonious, bright and refreshing.

Keith and Debs (one of our closest suppliers) hand-craft their beers using the best English malted barley and the finest English and Continental hops they can get. Oh, and water from the West Country of course!
