About Brockley Stores

More than just a farm shop. More than just a deli!

Our store in Brockley, near Bristol, is bursting with mouth-watering, real food, produced by local people who share our love for real food.

But what do we mean by real food?

Good question! ‘Real food’ is the way that we describe yummy things that are part of a healthy diet, sourced responsibly and have an overwhelmingly positive impact on the lives of the people around us.

It’s a term that comes from the core ethics; living in harmony with our local environment, helping people to fulfil their eating choices, minimising food miles and farming ethically.

More importantly, real food tastes fantastic!

Whether you have specialist dietary requirements, a vegan, vegetarian, fruitarian, or even a raw foodie, we strive to support your choices and help to make it easy for you to find the information you need to make your shopping experience free of worries.

The only thing that isn’t green is our bananas!

To continue to produce our healthy natural products, we need to help look after the environment, which is just one reason why we’re committed to green and clean living at Brockley. Just little things can make a difference, so we save all our boxes for customers to reuse to cut down on plastic waste. And we’re not stopping there.

History & Future

More than just a farm shop. More than just a deli!

There has been a store (or at least stall!!) here for almost 100 years. In 2016 Rob and Laura Hagen took over the store with a plan to develop and expand the offer of world class, local food that tastes delicious, served up with a hearty laugh and a big smile.

Rob’s vision is to change shoppers’ understandings of where food comes from, what modern day farming is and what real food looks, tastes and feels like, while educating about environmental impacts along the way.

We’re an ambitious bunch, with plans to expand our store and our online shopping range over the coming months.

Our Passion

Rob was born in Winscombe  6 miles away and Laura born in Bridgwater. They spent a decade living and working across various places in the UK, Middle East, Africa and Asia. The more they travelled, the more they realised how much they wanted to return back ‘home’ and promote their passion for great tasting local food. So back they came with Rex the Border Terrier and now their daughter, Emilia.

A little help from our friends!

The popularity and success of our products is a result of our fantastic relationships with our suppliers. They exist as family businesses, as hobbyists and farmers, all of which share the same common goal as us; to produce and distribute awesome products.

By helping to support each other and fostering these valuable relationships, we are able to offer a unique range of products, all with a local connection.
